Update #2 puts Manager ingredient delivery and buying after meal service, preparation and new orders. Check actual stock and purchases across a shift before judging the Shopping List alone. If staff are visibly stuck, the official workaround is to reduce the number hired at that venue.

Current staff task priority

Manager jobs are not first in the venue-wide queue. A busy venue may process higher-priority service work before ingredient delivery or buying; this is an interpretation of the published order, not a timing formula.

How to read the Shopping List

The current official notes do not define Shopping List target quantities or say that a Manager must clear the list for automation to count as working. Players report cases where the list persists while some buying occurs. Use it to identify stock to inspect, then compare venue inventory and observed purchases.

  • Record the active menu item and the ingredient missing from venue inventory.
  • Check whether the Manager buys or delivers during the assigned shift.
  • Compare stock, spending and the list after the shift.

Cash drain and spoiled food

Players continue to report costly or unexpected purchases. Update #2 changes the order in which stored ingredients are used but does not publish a Manager cash-reserve rule or promise zero spoilage. If balance falls sharply, record the purchases and preserve a reproducible example for support.

Report a repeatable Manager problem

After trying the relevant current workaround, send 505 Games support a concise reproduction with what happened and where, steps leading to it, PC specs, and a screenshot or video if possible. The official post also explains how to attach DxDiag, Player.log, Player-prev.log and a save file when relevant.
