What stays after the Tour?
Independent reporting| System | Purpose | After the Tour |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade points | Improve the current vehicle during the run | Temporary |
| Parts | Passive effects with specific triggers; up to four fitted | Tour loadout is lost |
| Abilities | Active tools such as Shield or Vent | Developed within the Tour |
| Tuning Points | Unlock vehicle options and improve base stats | Permanent progress |
| Kit Points | Cosmetic customization | Persistent |
| Racer Styles & Favors | Starting setup and run modifiers | Unlocked choices remain available |
Upgrade the stat behind your bottleneck
Independent reporting| Problem | First system to inspect | Reason to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Missing turns | Cornering | Recover a usable racing line before adding more speed. |
| Crashing out | Resilience | Give a survival-focused run more room for mistakes. |
| Boost running dry | Afterburner | Support an Afterburner-focused setup. |
| Ramjet too hard to sustain | Ramjet, then cooling effects | Check both the stat and the actual heat trigger. |
| Useful abilities unavailable | Battery and energy effects | Invest when you have an equipped ability that uses the energy. |
| Vehicle-specific turns feel awkward | Handling practice in Arcade | Learn drift, brake turn or knife-edge before rebuilding the entire loadout. |
Earn Tuning Points and unlock vehicles
Independent reporting| Action | Launch-guide reward or cost |
|---|---|
| Finish a standard Race | Earn 1 Tuning Point in any finishing position |
| Finish an Eliminator in the top three | Earn 4 Tuning Points |
| Unlock Speeder Bike | Spend 10 Tuning Points |
| Unlock Skim Speeder | Spend 20 Tuning Points |
Spend permanent Tuning Points between Tours
Independent reporting- 1Check the permanent vehicle menu before starting a new Tour.
- 2Improve your most limiting stat, then test the same type of corner or straight.
- 3Work toward vehicle level 15; choose handling and survival before speed you cannot control.
- 4If the allocation no longer fits, the launch guide reports a respec cost of two Tuning Points. Check the displayed cost before confirming.
Inspect Part triggers and repair faults
Independent reportingA stronger Part is useful only when its trigger occurs in your run. Critical malfunctions can leave a fault; a perfect recovery prevents it. Inspect faults before buying a legendary Part, and budget repair credits at a Scrap Dealer instead of treating a replacement as a repair.
- 1Read the trigger, affected system and drawback.
- 2Check whether the next planet lets you trigger the benefit safely.
- 3Compare repairs with purchases before leaving the paddock.
Upgrade spending decisions
Independent reporting| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Should I buy speed or handling first? | Fix repeated missed turns first. Speed pays off once you can keep a stable racing line. |
| Why did my strong build disappear? | Tour Parts and upgrades reset with the run; permanent vehicle tuning remains. |
| Should I upgrade Battery without abilities? | Prioritize a system you actively use. Extra energy does little for a loadout without a useful ability. |
Continue your Tour preparation
